Saturday is Caption Day

over at Rocknrollmum. In case any of you were thinking that vicar's wives are purely ornamental I want it known that tremendous skills are demanded of us. Baking, for instance. My oven fancies are the ballast of church fetes and socials. Here, for instance, is the birthday cake I baked this week:

  7. I totally sympathise and share similar cake baking skills!! For many year my husband despite loving his mother's chocolate cake, banned me from making him birthday cake! However then I discovered Betty Crocker - her cake recipes have saved me in Denmark, where every mum (and dad for that matter) has to produce a home baked cake at some point!

  10. I'm officially awful at captions, so I'm not even going to try. But I will say one thing - it looks rather tasty from where I'm sitting right now. (Granted, I'm on that stupid Fast Diet thing and have only eaten 500 calories all day. But still...)
